Cash rewards or gift cards?

There are different ways survey sites pay out to those that successfully complete the surveys. It can be done either by gift cards or cash rewards.

Which of the two do you prefer and why?

When I used survey websites, it was only PayPal payments I accepted. I know some of them offer gift cards but that's my my thing.

If you can't cash gift cards directly but need a vendor to buy them from you, it's very risky. A lot of people are scammed by fake gifts cards vendors.
