I am a firm believer that any money spent on SEO can be earned back but it will not be something you see straight away, over night or even over a few weeks or months. It could be months and months or even years before you start to see a profit from the money you invested in SEO.
I would never just dump money into SEO without knowing for sure it would be a good investment.
