Tiktok vs YouTube shorts

YouTube shorts is a direct competition to Tiktok. Both are short videos that are always within 15 seconds to one minute. When it comes to making money online, which of these do you think drive more traffic?

What is the future of TikTok though? It is banned in many countries. The US got a bill to get it banned as well.

Were you able to make money through Shorts?

Both of them drives traffic depending on the contents there. But I am thinking that Tiktok drives more traffic than YouTube. Even though it has been banned in some many countries, so many people are still making money from there.

One of the ways anyone can make money through YouTube shorts is by promotions and sponsorships. If you have more subscribers to your channel, you can get brands to pay for product placements within the video contents that you share via shorts.

I heard that the US want the owners to sell off TikTok than taking out the platform entirely. Will they do that? Are the owners going to refuse a fortune anyone would pay to own it?

There are some owners that won't want to sell it. You know that by doing so, they are sharing some key information about the platform with the new owners, and not everyone will be cool with that kind of arrangement.

That's a valid point. I too think that TikTok will never sell off their US business. They might try to come back through some agreement or compromise.

Obviously, what is going to play out. They would want to find a common ground to continue operations in the US. As long as they are able to reach that agreement, they will be in business.

The US govt is probably more worried about the rival influence in TikTok than commercial itnterests. There is a chance that TikTok will be gone for ever.

Aside from the US. Which other popular countries have Tiktok on their banned list? I don't even understand the reason they are trying to limit the progress of this great company, though.

Whatever that happens, they will be proud of the progress that they have achieved so far, and it is not like they do not exist in other countries as well.

France and India for sure.

TikTok is Chinese,right?

Yes, Tiktok came from the Asian country, and I believe that any business war that is happening can be linked to the issues America is having with China as well.

I find it odd, that the US was not happy that Google and other US services were banned in China. They are doing the same with Kaspersky, TikTok etc.

It is difficult to tell which platform would help you get more traffic when you use them. Both TikTok and YouTube Shorts have a lot of potential and I would say, if you are looking to be successful and to gain traffic, I would utilize both rather than one over the other.

The more places your content is in, the more eyes will see it.

Tiktok has been the one that is on top as far as I am concerned, and nothing would make YouTube shorts come close. That is one fact that I have come to realise.

From my findings, the countries that have banned permanently or limited the use of Tiktok so far are ; India, Afghanistan, Iran, Nepal, Somalia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, the United States, Australia, Canada, Pakistan and most of the European Union.

If all these bans keeps increasing, Tiktok is going to be fall from its peak in no long time. Although, I think USA will lift their ban of the app after election should Trump win.

I believe that both of them are actually very good. What is more important is for you too make use of the channel where you have more followers so that you will be getting more engagement from the content to your publishing on your account.
