Question Why are most surveys location based?

Many surveys these days seems to target the tier one countries. There is little opportunities for those in the lower tier countries to earn a decent amount of money from surveys.
Sometimes they would be disqualified while taking the screening exercises.

What could be the major reason for this?

This could be because some regions rank low in SEO, so they feel like it wouldn't make much of a difference.
Or the survey is particularly about a particular area and they feel that people outside of it won't be able to give meaningful contributions.

I think there are many reasons for this, it can be language barrier, sampling, budget constraints and not understanding customer's behaviour, opinions or likes of low internet connectivity.

The reason why they operate this way is because they want the answers they are getting from the survey question to be from those who are resided within the area or country or proximity of where those products are being purchased and used. This is so that they know information they are receiving is something that can be used to improve on the products which the people are likely going to purchase.
