How to monetize a blog apart from ads?

Ads can be annoying, especially if they are all scattered on the forum incessantly. I for one can leave a website that has too many ads on it.
Many people find it annoying as well.

So apart from ads, which other ways can a website be monetized?

If you have large and active members and visitors you can engage in affiliate marketing to generate income through them. You can also sell subscription services for members to access exclusive contents on your site.

If you offer good services to your website visitors and they keep coming back, you can sell account upgrades to them so that they can have access to premium contents.
